The main objectives of the Symphonic Band are to provide members with the skills to perform for various occasions and to build up their self-confidence. Also, we want to create opportunities for developing and enhancing the leadership potential of our members.
If you are interested to develop further or even discover your innate talent for music, do join us as Symphonic Band is an excellent platform for you to attain such musical skills and interact with instruments, which you may not have the opportunity to do so elsewhere!
It is okay if you do not have any musical background as we offer Junior Band Training Programme for all new Secondary 1 recruits where our Junior Band conductor trains all new members.
Additionally, the band seniors also takes on the responsibility of training the Secondary Ones. This experience allows the seniors to build up their level of confidence and proficiency, while providing guidance to the new members.
What do we do?
The Symphonic Band performs regularly for various school and public events, and has been serving their Values-in-Action at All Saints Home @ Yishun. The interactions with the elderly residents have inculcated the school values in the band members, and left many memorable experiences for both.
The Band members also have the opportunity to attend concerts yearly, which further hone their interests in music.
